What I'm All About
In the rush to make it all possible, we can't forget to make it all worthwhile, too.
By enacting beautiful and human-centered systems that minimize deadweight and encourage healthy habits, we can find more enjoyment in our daily lives and make more time and energy for the things that matter. That's why I do what I do.
I'm all about systems.
I simplify and organize things for better big-picture efficiency, because I know the domino effect of a good system can be huge. Designing patient-centered solutions during my time in the healthcare industry exposed my passion for human-centered design, and has since has driven me into a full-time focus on user experiences. In the long term, I'd love to explore all the different ways of applying the UX approach to our lives - digitally or otherwise.
Organized, calculated, analytical, but also a wildly creative lunatic.
I consider myself lucky to have done and enjoyed a wide variety of different jobs in my life, but whenever I find myself at the intersection of art and tech, I find myself thinking,
“This is where I belong. Why don’t I settle down here?”
There's nothing quite like the rush of mobilizing otherwise lifeless letters, numbers, and tools to breathe life and relative autonomy into something I designed.
“Look at that” says my brain,
“You made that exist. It didn’t exist a minute ago, but it does now. Now it’s acting on its own, independent of you, based on instructions you gave it. This piece of you is free to roam the world for as long as it desires.”
No matter what else I do in my life, I’ll always continue turning ideas into realities.
